GO79MAN (Gold Man)
GO79MAN: The Architect of Theatrical Soul
More than just a musical artist, GO79MAN (Walter Gilmore Jr.) is a dynamic performer redefining narrative hip-hop through his signature genre: "Theatrical Soul." Recently featured on CBS 17 News for his immersive open-air residencies, the Chicago-born, Raleigh-based artist transforms traditional concerts into cinematic, family-friendly experiences. With over 2 million streams across platforms, he brings his high-energy, 100% profanity-free message to life with a full live band, theatrical actors, physical 8x8 NFC art canvases, and heavy call-and-response crowd interaction.
GO79MAN does not shy away from the heavy lifting, tackling pressing world topics like domestic violence, substance abuse, and overcoming life's obstacles with raw, authentic lyrics. His versatility allows him to command diverse spaces, from university student activities boards and major city festivals to high-stakes arenas.
A master of crowd momentum, GO79MAN frequently crafts high-octane entrance themes for professional wrestlers and combat sports organizations, knowing exactly how to score a fight and engage a stadium. His cinematic appeal is also making waves in television, with his track “Simmer Down” secured for a Paramount Studios production.
Offstage, GO79MAN is a dedicated community leader, operating senior fitness programming, and a devoted family man who heavily collaborates with his wife and cherishes his role as a father.
